Mark Kustra, MBA, PhD Candidate

Mark Kustra is Associate Vice President Education, reporting to the Senior Vice President Education of IIMP™.

Mark is a Product and Brand Manager possessing more than thirteen years of experience in senior leadership positions. He has handled Product Program Development positions with leading organizations including General Motors.

Mark’s educational background includes a BA from Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, a Certificate in Operations Management from Durham College in Oshawa, a Certificate from the Universite Canadienne en France in Villefranche-sur-Mer, and an MBA from Athabasca University in Alberta. Most recently Mark has completed his coursework and comprehensive exam at the PhD level with Capella University in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Mark has been a member of a global creativity team and has worked with agencies and suppliers to create a number of new products for the Canadian market including co-branded and private label. Some of these products have gone on to international success. Mark’s strengths lie in the areas of brand management, product management, public speaking, and market research.

Mark has created and inspired a number of high-performance work teams as well as mentoring a number of people who have gone on and received their MBA’s from a variety of institutions. His future plans include finishing his PhD dissertation on the topic of knowledge retention in organizations.
